Life in Reception

A warm welcome to Reception!

Whether your child has attended our Nursery class or is starting with us for the first time, we know Reception marks most children’s first step into primary education. This can be an exciting and anxious time for children and parents alike.

With that in mind, the team in Reception are here to facilitate a seamless transition, utilising the fantastic resources and opportunities we have here on site to ensure every child is happy, confident and can achieve their full potential.

In Reception our classroom environment is always busy and fun! The children learn through a range of engaging activities within the classroom setting and outdoors. Our classroom is organised into different learning areas which are themed and resourced to enhance the learning of our current topic. Activities and resources are carefully planned to provide a rich variety of first-hand learning opportunities that encourage children’s interest, curiosity and enthusiasm.

This year we are looking forward to exploring some fascinating topics including, ‘ Into The Forest’, ‘Superheroes’ and ‘Pirates’.
