Life in Year 3
Hello and a warm welcome to Year 3!
We are looking forward to exploring and investigating our exciting themes that will include, 'Is plastic Fantastic?' ‘Celts’ and ' Destination Botswana'. Our next learning journey is focused on the theme 'Fabulous 60's!' So, dig out those platform shoes and flares and hold on tight as we take off into our psychedelic learning journey.
Our Year 3 classroom is spacious, welcoming and well resourced. It is zoned into working areas to support mission times where children initiate their learning through pupil voice. These areas are enhanced each term to support each theme. Children are encouraged to develop their digital competency, numeracy and literacy skills through all aspects of learning.
The enthusiastic staff strive to create a fun, calm and caring environment for all the children.
During their time in Year 3 the children will learn through a range of engaging, stimulating and structured activities within the classroom setting while also making the most of our outdoor environment whenever possible. Learning is also enhanced through educational visits and key visitors.
In Year 3 we foster positive attitudes towards our learning, so that the children become independent, resilient and confident to prepare for the world around them.
